ALL CULINARY PROGRAMS

PRO KITCHEN (3 MONTHS)

The Professional Kitchen Program is a 3-month classical chef training program. We believe in starting with basic classical methods and techniques for training so that once you qualify as a trained chef you can apply your new skills in any kitchen globally.

PRO PASTRY (3 MONTHS)

Our Pastry Program is the ultimate pastry and baking qualification in Pakistan, which can be obtained in 3 months. Learn professional techniques from basics upwards to build your skills as a talented pastry chef. SCAFA’s Professional Pastry program is the best curriculum in Pakistan dedicated to teaching pastry to students aspiring to attain professional pastry standards. Classes run 5 days a week from Monday to Friday for 13 weeks; timings vary for morning batch and afternoon batch.

COMBINATION (6 MONTHS)

The Combination Programme is a combination of the Pro Kitchen and the Pro Finishing Programme OR Pro Pastry. While, students completing the Professional Kitchen Programme are accepted into the industry as Commis-level chefs, when combined with the Professional Finishing Programme, students are armed with 360° advanced skills for kitchen operations of a fine dining standard. The programme runs for 6 months.

BA PATHWAY (2.5 YEARS)

In 2019 SCAFA made an agreement with the Business & Hotel Management School, BHMS Culinary Academy, Lucerne, Switzerland.

This agreement is a tremendous opportunity for SCAFA graduates to obtain the dual UK and Swiss BA degree as a continuation of their culinary qualifications. This is the result of BHMS recognizing SCAFA alumni and their SCAFA qualifications for advanced placement into the dual Bachelor in Culinary Arts awarded by BHMS, Switzerland and Robert Gordon University of UK jointly.

CAKE DECORATION (CD)

This program is meant for the novice cake baker. If you are interested in building your cake baking skills to a higher level and learning how to make cakes that not only taste great but also look great, then the beginner’s cake decorating course is perfect for you. We start from the base and make our way upwards towards understanding how to finish a cake. You will learn to bake, assemble and decorate. We cover 5 basic flavors and 5 themes in the beginner’s course.

FUNDAMENTALS OF CUISINE (FOC)

The series of 10 classes provide a solid grounding in basic cuisine techniques and is designed for beginners.

FUNDAMENTALS OF PASTRY (FOP)

Our Basic Pâtisserie series of 10 classes are designed to give you a strong foundation on which to build your pastry skills and knowledge. As you progress, you will learn how to prepare a wide selection of desserts and baked items through practical sessions.

MINI MASTER CHEF CLASSES (MMC)

Created especially for young children aged between 8 and 13 years old, the Mini Master Chef program is the perfect cooking course for little chefs to build confidence and skill in the kitchen. Our focus is to let them do everything, make mistakes and fix them. Having been involved with kids cooking classes since 2012, SCAFA knows how to make sure their passion never dies and assists them in improving themselves in the kitchen.
