City & Guilds
SCAFA is an Approved Centre of City & Guilds, London, and delivers the International Vocational Qualifications (IVQ) in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts. City & Guild are the leading skills development organization, providing services to training providers, employers, and trainees across a variety of sectors to meet the needs of today’s workplace. These qualifications have been developed for those working within the catering industry and cover all the main elements of food preparation as well as specialist patisserie knowledge and skills. City & Guilds certifications are recognized by employers all over the world, helping individuals develop their talents and abilities for career progression.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA)
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is responsible for the growth, direction, and quality of private education and learning in Dubai. KHDA is a regulatory authority in the Government of Dubai that supports the improvement of schools, universities, training institutes, and other human resource sectors. SCAFA is a KHDA regulated vocational training center and students successfully completing programs at SCAFA receive certification that is attested by KHDA.
B.H.M.S. Culinary Academy, a part of the Business & Hotel Management School in Lucerne, is one of the top hospitality management schools in Switzerland and provides undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate university studies in the fields of hospitality, hotel management and business management. SCAFA students have a unique pathway to the BA Culinary Arts degree at B.H.M.S. with up to two years advance placement for students successfully completing the six-month Combination Program at SCAFA.
Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, U.K.
Robert Gordon University, a leading British University, offers its BA Culinary Arts degree jointly with B.H.M.S. Switzerland as a dual degree. SCAFA students proceeding to B.H.M.S. after completing their program at SCAFA will receive a dual degree from Robert Gordon University as well as the degree from B.H.M.S..
Accademia delle Professioni, Padua, Italy
Accademia delle Professioni is the reference Didactic Pole in Italy for Courses, Higher Education and Masters in the Food & Beverage and Tech & Digital areas. Accademia delle Professioni and SCAFA are partners for student exchange. SCAFA students have the opportunity to proceed to Accademia dell Professiono in Padua to attend either the Professional Cousr in Italian Cuisine and Culture or the Intensive Pizza Course, both specialist course, and available to SCAFA graduates at a special fee. Following completion of the program students can opt to proceed for immersive work experience to the Restaurant Quadri and Gran Caffe Quadri, the epitome of Italian F&B luxury in the famous Saint Mark Square, Venice. Upon successful completion of the intensive programs students will receive EQF (European Qualification Framework) certification.
Gelato Campus, in collaboration with Gelatieri Artigiani Fiorentini (Florentine Gelato Artisans), is an association with the objective to promote artisan quality gelato from a “zero chilometer” range, which cannot be improvised, but needs experience, craftsmanship, and quality ingredients. SCAFA is a founding educational partner of Gelato Campus.
DMCC, established in 2002 by the Government of Dubai provides the physical, market, licensing, and financial infrastructure for SCAFA’s operations.
SCAFA is the only regional culinary institute awarded recognition by the Government of Bahrain’s TAMKEEN organization. Bahraini students completing their culinary studies at SCAFA are eligible for a fee refund when they take up a culinary career upon completion of their studies.
IACP - The International Association of Culinary Professionals
The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) is a worldwide forum for the development and exchange of information, knowledge, and inspiration within the professional food and beverage community. SCAFA has been a member of IACP since 2012.
Slow Food is a global, grassroots organization linking the pleasure of good food with a commitment to local communities and the environment. Since its beginnings, Slow Food has grown into a global movement involving millions of people in over 160 countries.
